Read Metro Case Study

Having worked with Metro on the re-launch of the MetroFrance.com website I have also worked with them on a retainer basis. One of the major projects to follow the MetroFrance.com launch was the re-design of the highly-popular Read Metro website. The site allows users the opportunity to read that day's edition of Metro online for any city as well as offering back issues.

A key target for the site was to integrate with the new Metro brand and create a seamless user experience when visiting from new look sites such as MetroFrance.com but without losing the popularity the Read Metro site has built up with Metro readers.

Having had plenty of experience with similar requirements from the eight years I spent working at Sky I was able to design a site that met both criteria and takes advantage of an intuitive interface. I also produced the standards-compliant XHTML/CSS front-end code for the site.
