YMCA Sutton Coldfield

We all know how difficult it must be for charities to compete for donations and with funds scare to spend on marketing activity they often look to the great British public to volunteer their services.

The YMCA, who are a community-focused not for profit organisation that was established back in 1844, needed such help. YMCA Sutton Coldfield an independent autonomous Charity based in Vesey Ward required a web designer to take their online awareness to the next level.

Having been provided with a website template that had been designed by the YMCA England they required a web company to format, structure and populate the content as well as host it – all at no cost to the charity.

Known within the web design industry, award winning Darren Langley Web Design was approached to fulfil this charitable need. Owner Darren Langley gladly took up the challenge as he explains “it seemed a great opportunity to give something back to my home town by supporting such a worthwhile local charity and as the saying goes charity starts at home”.

Over the past five months the project has begun to take shape to deliver what will be a quality and professional looking website. The project has not come without its challenges which have including the onerous task of organising and hosting of all their emails and to get the website to function correctly but it is sure to all be worthwhile. The finished website aims to promote the YMCA’s profile and its projects with a view to raise much needed funds to help those in Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas.
