The Ritz London
I was commissioned by The Ritz London to redesign the website for their World famous hotel.
The landmark hotel invited me to tender for the design of the website along with Lincolnshire web developers Technicks. Having beaten established London web design agencies and larger companies who specialise in producing websites for some of the World’s top hotels, I won the commission.
The hotel, famous for their elaborate gold decor and afternoon teas, wanted to create a better online presence that would be fresh and inventive and highlight many of the features of the hotel that are less well known, such as cocktails in The Rivoli bar – a famous hangout for Charlie Chaplin.
I work a lot with businesses based in the West Midlands so it was great to receive an opportunity to work with such a well-known London icon.
The project required thorough research and interviews with many members of staff at The Ritz in order to understand the needs of the hotel and their world-wide audience.
It was a complicated website in the sense that we needed to get across all the different offerings at The Ritz from the accommodation, dining, drinks and events. Combined with online booking I think we managed to ensure the site provided information in an elegant, succinct and easy to use format.
Following the completion of the project I was also featured in the local press.
